However, most Service Providers that have access to your personal information are required to sign a Business Associate Agreement under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 prior to being provided with any information. We may disclose aggregated, anonymized, statistical data and/or non-identifying information about Our users without restriction. 

Digital Communication and HIPAA

We may use Google Workspace or Hushmail for email day-to-day email communications; You can learn more about Google Workspace here: https://workspace.google.com/industries/healthcare/. When booking an appointment/requesting contact from Us through the Website, you may be booking/requesting through either a Squarespace contact form or SimplePractice. Both modes may then send a notification email to drsam@growtruepsychology, including information you shared.. SimplePractice is HIPAA compliant. However, Squarespace contact forms are not HIPAA compliant at this time. If you submit a Squarespace contact form, the information you share will be stored in Our Website’s contact panel. Please do not share any health-related information while making a booking/contact request.

We may follow up with you by phone, using Google Workspace, or through a HIPAA-secure method including, but not limited to, Hushmail. Please know that We have no control over the security of the email after it arrives with You or the recipient.

We may also email or text you via SMS to confirm basic information, such as the date and time of your next appointment. These emails and/or texts are auto-generated and are not sent by an individual person. As such, please do not respond to these messages in any other manner than prompted in the message. 

Third Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Some content or applications on the Website may be served by third parties, including content providers and application providers. These third parties may use cookies (alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies) to collect information about You when You use Our Website. The information they collect may be associated with your Personal Information, or they may collect information, including Personal Information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide You with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If You have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, You should contact the responsible provider directly. 

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with Our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce Our legal agreements and policies. 

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Our Squarespace contact panel stores information you share if you interact with the site in some way, including but not limited to completing a contact form or signing up for the newsletter. We will retain shared data to the extent necessary to comply with Our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Our legal agreements and policies. Shared data is otherwise deleted periodically. If you request to receive The Company newsletter, your information will be stored and retained by MailChimp for the purposes of ongoing communication via email.

 

Disclosure of Your Personal Data Generally

We disclose Personal Information that we collect or that You provide, as described in this Privacy Policy, in the following circumstances:

●      To fulfill the purpose for which You provide it;

●      For any other purpose disclosed by us when You provide the information; or

  • With your consent.

To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support Our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them (e.g., Our legal counsel);

All information You provide to us through the Website is secured by TLS technology, and is stored on secure, password protected servers behind firewalls, which may be offered through Wix, Squarespace, SimplePractice, MailChimp, Google Workspace, Hushmail or other third party servers. We have implemented a restricted employee access for all of Our servers containing personally identifiable information. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology through SimplePractice, which is a separate, third-party platform. We will also use SimplePractice to schedule appointments with you.

The safety and security of your information also depends on You. Where We have given You (or where You have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of Our Website, You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask You not to share your password with anyone. 

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.

“Do Not Track” is a preference You can set in your browser to let websites You visit know that You do not want them collecting certain information about you. We do not currently respond to, or honor, Do Not Track signals or requests from your browser.

If You believe that any information we hold about You is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, You can review and change your Personal Information by logging into your telehealth profile on the Website and navigating to the appropriate settings page or sending us an email at  drsam@growtruepsychology.com to request access to, correct, or delete any Personal Information that You have provided to us. We cannot delete some of your Personal Information except by also deleting your telehealth user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or regulatory requirement, result in fraud, or cause the information to be incorrect.

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third-party link, You will be directed to that third party's site.
